Doctoral Schloarship

This scholarship was established by the Graham Nuthall Classroom Research Trust. The purpose is to provide further support to a recipient of the University of Canterbury Doctoral Scholarship who is seeking to improve children’s learning through classroom-based research. Graham Nuthall was Professor of Education at the University of Canterbury and internationally recognised for his studies of learning in primary school classrooms. Using a methodology involving meticulous data collection and analysis, Graham’s research provided insights into the multiple worlds of the classroom and how this shapes children’s learning.

Elgigibility

NZ citizen or permanent resident
Currently receiving the University of Canterbury Doctoral Scholarship who is undertaking classroom-based research in education within the College of Education
Previous recipients of this award are not eligible to apply again
